The future of mobile communications has begun: Equipped with a GPS module and navigation software, the SXG75 has everything necessary for innovative location-based services. Siemens’ new mobile presents multimedia at UMTS speed. This high-tech third-generation mobile telephony device will be on sale from as early as October 2005. With its built-in FM radio and MP3 player, the mobile turns into a portable stereo system by attaching the superior speakers of the “Mobile Music Set” (optional accessory). The integrated 2-megapixel digital camera and the high-resolution QVGA color display ensure high-quality visuals. A second CIF camera above the mobile’s display is a practical aid for video telephony. An organizer, Bluetooth, an email client, Multimedia Messaging (MMS), Instant Messaging and a fast XHTML web browser are also among the extensive features of this UMTS all-rounder.

With the integrated GPS module and navigation solution from Siemens VDO Automotive, finding the way is always straightforward with the SXG75 – even in a strange city. This high-tech mobile is already equipped with Assisted GPS functionality, making it capable of receiving future operator services. The SXG75 also supports location-based services such as restaurant tips, special offers in shops or guides to major cities. Other applications that are practical when on the move include the built-in translation aid for English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish, as well as a photo editor.

For high-quality photos and video recording, the SXG75 comes complete with an integrated 2-megapixel digital camera. A second CIF camera on the front of the casing supports video telephony. Movies and video clips can actually be played directly off the Internet via video streaming on the 2.2-inch TFT display (262,144 colors, 240 x 320 pixels). The integrated MP3 player and RDS-compatible FM radio receiver provide superb musical entertainment, while the active loudspeakers of the portable “IMS-700 Mobile Music Set” (Siemens original accessory) make listening a pleasure with their superb audio quality. A particularly useful feature is that the music is automatically muted as soon as an incoming phone call is signaled on the attached mobile. In addition, further music sources such as a PC, MP3 or CD player can be attached to the active speakers.

Be it Multimedia Messaging (MMS), e-mail client or Instant Messaging – the SXG75 caters to the entire spectrum of mobile multimedia communications. A fast (XHTML) web browser is provided for surfing the Internet, whilst Bluetooth technology allows the integrated organizer for appointments and contacts to be synchronized in a flash with MS-Outlook by running the Mobile Phone Manager application on a PC. The 128-MB internal phone memory (of which 64 MB available for use) provides more than enough space for images, music tracks, large data volumes and applications. Moreover, if additional memory capacity is required, interchangeable RS (reduced-sized) multimedia cards can be plugged into the phone.

Weighing a mere 134 grams and measuring 111.5 x 53 x 20 millimeter, the sleek design of this slim UMTS phone features light colors, clean-cut, striking shapes and a sophisticated appearance that accentuate its advanced technical capabilities and lend it a unique character.

Apart from the “IMS-700 Mobile Music Set” and an attachable camera flash, further original Siemens accessories are also available for the SXG75. These include a selection of convenient headsets such as Bluetooth headsets, a stereo headset (supplied with the SXG75) for superior digital speech quality as well as the “Purestyle” designer headset. Siemens’ hands-free Bluetooth solutions are practical for wireless in-car use.

Available in the colors “Metallic White” and “Metallic Black”, the SXG75 will be on sale in the premium price range from October 2005.

UMTS convenience within everyone’s reach: Siemens presents the SFG75, an exceedingly compact clamshell mobile for the new UMTS networks. Video telephony, music downloads as well as sending photos and film clips by MMS on the move are all pleasure now thanks to swift data transfer. With its large color display, 1.3-megapixel digital camera and video function, the SFG75 is at the cutting edge of technological development. However, this high-quality mobile phone also has much to offer visually. Moreover, Bluetooth ensures wireless convenience and any amount of original accessories round off the equipment.

Measuring only a slender 89.9 x 45.1 x 23.95 mm and weighing a mere 110 grams, the Siemens SFG75 shows how exceedingly compact a UMTS device can be. This modern, clamshell mobile with external antenna functions equally well in the new UMTS networks as it does in the conventional mobile telephony infrastructure (GSM 900/1800). With its extensive range of technical features and its sophisticated design, the mobile has an especially attractive price-performance ratio.

Video telephony permits eye-contact with friends while chatting to them on the phone – wherever the mobile user happens to be. Fast data transfer via UMTS technology (up to 384 kbps) lets mobile users see the other party on the screen in real time during a phone call. Apart from the high-quality 1.3-megapixel camera with LED photolight, 10x digital zoom and video function, the SFG75 has a second CIF camera especially integrated for video calls.

Photos and movies are shown in 262,144 colors on the brilliant 2-inch TFT internal display with 176 x 220-pixel resolution. Even when closed, the SFG75 is still a riot of color. In fact, the 1.2-inch external display offers 65,535 colors and photo resolution of 96 x 96 pixels.

The SFG75 boasts a broad range of multimedia functions. Apart from music in MP3 format, the mobile phone will also play tracks in the new memory-saving AAC, AAC+ and AMR formats. Large data volumes can also be downloaded in a flash with UMTS. Thus, the latest video clips can be received directly onto the mobile from the Internet via video streaming, for example. A separate button provides fast access to all music and video functions at any time. The internal phone memory (32 MB) can also be extended using a mini SD card if required. Hence the best entertainment is always ensured on the road. In addition, the SFG75 can be personalized using individual background pictures, logos and animations.

A stereo headset and a USB data cable for synchronizing data with a PC are also supplied with the SFG75. The SFG75 will be on retail sale in the color “Silver-Black” from November 2005 and is priced in the mid-range segment.

UMTS can be as small as this: The Siemens SG75 is less than 10 centimeters long and is full of surprises. This elegant mobile phone comprises email and organizer functions, Internet access as well as a high-quality 1.3-megapixel camera and a second camera for video calls. Entertainment is ensured too: Mobile users can view both their own and downloaded videos or listen to their favorite songs on the integrated MP3 player in their leisure time.

It features a well thought-out design with semiautomatic slider (ProSlide) function. Sliding the front of the device upward reveals the mobile in its full length with its number keypad. However, while it is still closed, the dynamically designed device can be easily stowed. Yet even in this compact form, the most important applications are instantly to hand – thanks to the navigation button and the side buttons on the front.

Movie trailers, video clips or real-time sports transmissions – whichever takes the fancy, everything becomes a feast for the eyes on the two-inch display with more than 262,000 colors! The desired content can be downloaded from the Internet onto the mobile at lightning speed via the UMTS data turbo. For smaller volumes of data, or at times when the UMTS network is currently not accessible, the mobile also has GPRS on board. If required, the SG75 can also be used as a modem to surf the Web or access emails quickly and wirelessly on a laptop.

However, this precision-engineered mobile phone has even more to offer to real multimedia fans. The 1.3-megapixel camera on the back allows not only videos but also high-resolution photos to be captured and sent as MMS to business partners, friends and acquaintances. How about a face-to-face conversation? Using the SG75, this is no problem – after all, there is a second camera built into the device that turns self-portraits into child’s play.

Moreover, the SG75 is an elegant companion for “daily business”, with numerous organizer functions at the ready which can be synchronized fast and effortlessly with the PC, ranging from an e-mail client up to a diary. In everyday work life, the “Today Screen” can be particularly handy. One glance at the mobile’s display reveals whether current appointments are pending, new messages have arrived or calls have been received in absentia. For instance, an MP3 player with a good sound , which is compatible with the most varied music formats (like AAC, WAV and MIDI ), can make the journey to work more pleasant. Of course, with 70 megabytes of internal memory as well as the option to use a supplementary memory card, the Siemens mobile has any amount of storage space at the ready for favorite songs and much, much more.

This little communication genius also makes the perfect traveling companion. The SG75 can transmit not only in the domestic D and E networks, but also in the United States . Bluetooth is integrated for additional convenience. This radio technology permits the use of accessories such as the wireless HHB-700 Bluetooth headset, which stands out among other things for its light weight, its high portability and superior speech quality. The HKW-710 Bluetooth car kit is an equally practical in-car handsfree solution. Even Bluetooth printing can be carried out using this multimedia mobile. Photos can be transmitted directly from the mobile to a Bluetooth-capable printer without any cables. Besides, the SG75 supports Bluetooth Microsoft Remote Control, which allows computer applications to be operated conveniently from the mobile – whether they are Powerpoint presentations or the PC’s media player.

The SG75 will be priced in the mid-range segment and will be available from November 2005 in the color “Titanium”.
